The DPS again is hectic. It has many bubbles of text which are quotes from the band. It is easy to read and there is little white-space.
The contents for K! is very hectic! It's hard to concentrate whilst reading it because there is so much going on. They use the boxes as little snapshots of articles and show a massive picture of what the main article is going to be. Overall I think K! appeals to it's audience in a unique way. It has a vast amount of readers and every week they deliver what we want.
This cover is a special addition. It features Cliff Burton on it. It appeals to the more older readers who will remember Cliff for what he did. However, this magazine is written for all kinds of audiences. And appeals to them all.
The DPS is comparable to that of other magazines such as Mojo, it is wanting to be serious and sophisticated. I appreciate what MH are trying to do, because.. it works. Overall I think MH appeals to it's audience in a direct way. The front covers are usually hectic but readable and everything is well placed.
This is the DPS of rock sound. It's insane. There is so much going on and so much detail put into the pictures. The picture lures your eyes away from the text. And draws you in more as you want to read all about the picture.
This front cover is neat, tidy and easy to read. I like what they did with the Bubble of the band on the front cover and I think it works. Also I think that with the background being just plain it makes it more appealing to the reader.
The contents page is easy to manoeuvre around. It isn't too hectic and has lots of information. I feel that it is text heavy but it works well with the magazine. Overall Rock Sound appeals to it's reader with the heavy text but vast amount of information with it.
